This Zeiss front lens 2.0x is for the Stemi 2000 & Stemi 508 stereo microscopes only.  Zeiss p/n 455028-0000-000.  Original to the Stemi 2000 stereo microscope line, it is compatible with the Stemi 508 but does not carry the "Apo" designation like the current 2.0x version - therefore is offered at 1/4 the cost new.  Working Distance = 31mm.  

A great addition for someone looking for an extra boost in magnification from their Stemi.  Please note this does reduce working distance to 31mm.  Out of the box, the Stem zooms from 6.5x - 50x with 92mm of working distance.  With this objective installed, the microscope is converted to zoom from 13x - 100x with 31mm of working distance.  

Threads on to the front of your microscope with no alignment and is easily removable should you need to take it on/off or only use for a certain application. 

Tested on Stemi 508 with excellent results as expected.
