This Zeiss Achroplan 4x/0.10 objective w/ RMS threads is compatible with all Axio series microscopes.  Achroplan objectives have very good flatness and color correction and are versatile objectives suitable for a wide range of applications including clinical/pathology and microphotography.  

Zeiss no longer makes a 4x objective so this objective is ideal for any Axio series microscope user who wants more field of view (20% greater) than the 5x objective can deliver.  Note that most upright microscopes will require a swing top condenser to accommodate the large field of view of this objective - it is generally not compatible with the standard Abbe condensers without swing top.  If you are unsure, please send us photographs of your microscope and we'll confirm for you.  

Objective is in excellent condition with flawless optics - there are no marks, scratches or delamination on the glass surfaces.  Objective was tested on AxioImager stand with excellent results as would be expected.  

Important Note - Use on current Zeiss microscopes with M27 objectives requires this adapter.  The RMS-M27 adapter is parfocal and parcentric with no other optical drawbacks.  Models which require this adapter are AxioObserver, AxioImager, AxioScope A1, AxioLab A1, AxioVert A1, some models of AxioVert 200.
