This Zeiss Plan Apochromat 40x/0.95 high dry objective w/ M27 threads is compatible with all current Axio series microscopes.  Plan Apochromat objectives have the highest possible numerical apertures, color correction and flatness allowing you to see structures at the boundary of what is visible.  Optimal for all demanding microscopy techniques as well as confocal microscopy in the UV, VIS or IR wavelengths.  

This objective delivers the highest possible NA/resolving power for any air objective without immersion.  Due to this high numerical aperture it has a built in correction collar allowing you to compensate for variances in coverglass thickness.  To avoid issues related to coverglass thickness variances we recommend using high performance coverslips and this objective will be delivered with a box of 100 Zeiss high performance coverslips.  

Objective is in excellent condition, optically flawless and will perform like new.  Correction collar movement is smooth.  There are some minor cosmetic signs of use on the metal tip which could be seen on close inspection - they do not affect optics or performance.  Tested on AxioImager stand with excellent results as would be expected.  

This objective is a great value - current Zeiss list price new = $8901.  Get all the performance of a new objective at less than half the price with immediate delivery.
